Hourly Archivist at Halmstad University

You will become part of the University Chancellery, which is responsible for case handling and investigation support for the University's leadership, board, and committees, as well as registry and archives, legal support, quality coordination, and support for researchers. The Chancellery, consisting of approximately 20 employees, offers a dynamic and developing work environment with competent and engaged colleagues.
Responsibilities
As an hourly archivist at the University, your main tasks will include arranging and listing records in the university archive, working with archival reporting, and executing weeding (disposal) in accordance with established decisions. You may also be involved in preparing materials for preservation and weeding decisions.
You will work in close dialogue with the University Archivist regarding the planning of measures but are expected, after guidance, to perform the majority of the operational work independently.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in archival science (60 credits) or equivalent education.
- At least three (3) years of work experience in archival matters within the public sector.
- Experience in arranging and listing archives and working with archival reporting systems.
- Knowledge of laws governing the handling of public documents and archives, such as the Archives Act, the Freedom of the Press Act, and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
Knowledge of activity-based archival reporting is an asset.

Terms of Employment
Individual salary setting applies; please state your salary expectations in your application. This is a special fixed-term employment (intermittent/hourly contract) where you have the opportunity to influence the extent of the work. Each occasion you work is considered a separate employment instance.
